......... But the first trial collapsed within days of starting in January and the two remaining trials never started. It meant all the defendants – many of whom spent months in custody awaiting their trial – were found not guilty and left to rebuild their lives while tainted with the allegations.
.... with no help from the authorities who put them in prison in the first place......
