I think it's unlikely to officially cause any difference to the charging procedure, but obviously the CPS are not immune to reading the news. Subconsciously it may affect their view.Originally posted by Tony1 View Post

But it's possible it may make cases that ARE charged more likely to be reported in the media.
Unless a case is particularly interesting to the public then it's not likely to make the newspaper.
Charging is a case by case affair and those with more merit than not (with what little info the police send in) are charged.
Speculation is futile.
