Unfortunately it's approaching election time so 'issues' are being identified and played on by the various political gamers. There's also virtually no hope of this coming in in this parliament. It's understandable that Mrs May can talk with those nice folks at the Police but it needs to be written in law before it means anything and that'll take some time, unfortunately.

Could it be an election promise that is quickly withdrawn or is it a real possibility???

Seen an article being circulated on Twitter about this, by a solicitor. I tweeted him to say that those who are interviewed but not arrested and bailed, suffer just as much and they should come under the same rules (if they are implemented - can't see it happening). Back came the expected response "they are a different case". Hmmmmmm

I think he understood that. He was just agreeing with the point.

Whenever I see something on the subject on Twitter I always comment about those not arrested or bailed and that the angst, anxiety and fear is exactly the same in the hope that somebody will step forward and offer to help

I would'nt mind knowing mind knowing what is meant by him saying "they are a different case " as this was not explained to me me when i was interviewed under caution ,no bail , nearly 21 months ago ,i've heard nothing since.The constant worry ,anxiety,panic is not easily explained as everyone who has been through this knows

I think he meant exactly what it is "they are a different kind of case" or whatever the wording was. It is a 'different kind of case' as there is no arrest or bail. If people who are not arrest or bailed tried to get some sort of recompense or even an apology, the 'law' would distinguish between the two saying they are not the same.

They are in terms of anxiety, worry, depression and panic. But legally it's a different thing. Don't ask me about the law and the difference between the two as I don't do that side of things. If ever I am involved in such a case where CPS and/or police are criticised then I will learn from it. As it is, I don't know.

And of course, it's still wrong
