You did not come across (to me anyway) as self-pitying. Everybody's traumas are still exceptionally painful to each person. It's not a competition and please don't feel guilty about it at all.

You were in a dark place when you posted and I couldn't see anything that could be construed as offensive to anybody.

Thanks again folks Think I maybe over analyzed what I'd written when I read it back.

The article that I linked in my first post I found a bit depressing as I think if there is proof that a FA has been made then those who have made it should be charged but Rape Crisis don't seem to see it that way.

On a happier note I know the direction the Radio One programme is going to take and am really hoping that it goes ahead and all the carry on at the BBC won't stop it. It will be very interesting by the sound of it.

It never fails to amaze me how often some people believe that nothing is being done to help the plight of the falsely accused and their families. They rant 'why is nothing being done? Why are there no support groups?' without bothering to check to see if their claims are factually accurate.

Petitions relating to anonymity; substitution of financial compensation with top notch therapy; more evidence required than just words - all this has been going on for years and years. Nothing changes apart from the fact that every petition that goes in, or letter that is written, reminds the powers that be we are here. But that is all they do.

Why do some people make the assumptions that they do without actually taking the trouble to check?

All we can do is to be here for the next person who needs help.
