I don't see any mention of the young lad whose liar was convicted who took ages to decide to talk to him.

Extract: Support groups for men falsely accused say the problem doesn't end when the accusation is proved untrue, as the claim remains on their criminal record until they apply to get it removed - which can take several months.

Where the hell did he get that from? Certainly not from me and I spoke to Declan. It's not several months, it can take years and most application will fail anyway, regardless of the innocence of the victim of the false allegation.

I suspect that both radio stations rushed the programmes out to coincide with Keir Starmer's statement.
I think it would have been good to have a legal input - I thought the ex barrister who phoned in 5 live was on the ball, would have been nice if they could
have had someone in the studio to go into the legalities of it being on your record and how you can access info. the police etc have on you.

It seems Declan didn't use the story of the falsely accused lad who I 'introduced' him to.

Was ANYTHING mentioned about the plight of the falsely accused on this radio programme or was that just a big con?

I listed to the article and read the online one on Newsbeat. Both talked of the trauma of being FAd.
Unfortunately both have been heavily criticised for "sympathising more with those FAd than with those who have been raped".
The stats for FAs are also grotesquely twisted.
              It makes me sick.
