I must admit, I was having a pretty dire day and you weren't the only person I was short with...try sharing a house with me. In my own defence (and its still no justification) it was the day I lost my job.

I am glad that you have been forgiving enough not to hold it against me though.

As for Edinburgh, alongside York, it is my favourite city and it holds a lot of dear memories for me. Going there in a couple of weekends for a family getherin!

You really don't want a 'job'. You should set up a Ltd company or go self employed, fit working around your lifestyle rather than the other way about. That's one good thing that's came from the allegation against me, a step back and a long stare with plenty of decisions and realisations.


You've done nothing wrong to have to be forgiven for! I can take some slap and tickle on a forum just that I couldn't figure a way to dig myself back out of the hole I was quickly falling into. I shouldn't have went on and on and on quite the way I did.

Edinburgh doesn't hold too many memories for me! Those special mushrooms put paid to that....

I stumbled across a blog similar to this and realised that having a job is a fools game. Never really looked back... My daily workload varies from simple tasks (which used to be complex) to difficult tasks (things I've never done before). I also, on occasion find simple tasks complex but that's another story...

Variety is the spice of life.

I used to do mechanical engineering (hands on) and project planning (burning eyes in front of a computer) but these days I really can do anything from day to day... Used to be a 'Jack of All Trades' but I'm settling into a 'Master of Some'... It scares me when I look at just how incompetent some people can be and yet I was there myself before I embarked on not having a 'job'...

All I need now is for my brain to work... Stress levels to drop... Heart to stop fluttering... Rage to subside... Er... Plenty of things...

Thanks for that link Lawlessone; I have been discussing an idea with my partner regarding some self employed work so will probably explore that. Will have to get appeal and tribunal done and dusted first though

Screw the buggers for millions and you'll never need to work again....

Self employed is just about the only route to go these days. Ain't many jobs out there and the ones that are are generally garbage or you're made to work like an animal just to survive on their poxy monthly handout.
