He is weird. He does miss the point. He does try to explain himself. He fails...

I can kind of see where he is coming from and it appears to be a different planet...

The two allegations as explained could well happen to absolutely anyone. It's where you draw the line that is in question and Galloway fails to get anywhere near to where the line is currently drawn, by law.

Assange could well have been a stupid and ignorant ass. A fiend for want of a better word.

I do, personally, think that the law has drawn the line a bit too finely in the sand. I don't believe the legislation actually empowers women but simply turns them into victims at every turn. I'm probably missing things too, few screws loose and all that...

Galloway missed it big time... Should've kept his mouth shut. He DID refreshen the debates that are going on though. People are talking again which is about the only positive from the whole sorry episode.

Interesting photo's in the press this weekend though of Assange and one of his accusers posing happily for the camera
allegedly before the complaint was made and after the alleged crime took place.

Galloway likes to have a mysteriousness about him. He has always sided with some rather odd figures and defended them in abstract ways. He is an attention seeker.

Assange as far as I can tell is simply a 'face'. A tunnel for people who don't want to stand up and take the hit themselves. He, and Wikileaks, made incredible amounts of money from leaking information. The USA realised they were making money from it and set about shutting down all methods of money making hoping that it would stop the out-flow of military secrets. It kinda worked! How many secrets have we had since? What's happened to the little boy that gave all the secrets to Wiki?

The states have it all under control.

What IS sad is that not only did Wikileaks make stupid amounts of money from the saga but the USA have tightened up security and now the citizens of the country are once again wihtout the information about the crimes that their government are perpetrating around the world on many innocent people. It's the very fact that they commit these crimes and hide them that Wikileaks exists. There is no reason for individuals or companies to be profiting from releasing secrets as in a democratic society there really should be no need for secrets to exist. The USA have only themselves to blame but now they want to forcibly silence everyone which is sad and sick.

Everyone on here will know how easy it is to be accused of rape. Others will know how easy it is to be raped. What Galloway is attempting to get at, rather badly, is that it all depends on what your interpretation of RAPE is. When I originally appeared on here my own personal interpretation was somewhat different from reality and that was a shock to my system. I had no idea just how easy it is to commit a crime without actually knowing about it such has the legislation now been reworded/re-interpreted. I regularly see grown men out and about who are setting themselves up hook, line and sinker for a sexual assault charge yet are completely oblivious how their actions are now interpreted by law. All it would take is for them to act in this manner in the presence of someone in the know or someone that takes offence and BANG, sexual assault charge.

It could of course be the very fact that either he is guilty or it has all been made up to get him over to the big bad states... I don't know, I wasn't in the room (as Galloway says!). It is a little odd how charges that weren't charges suddenly get advertised as charges a couple of years later and an international arrest warrant is issued to pull him in for 'questioning'........................
