This case was mentioned on the local TV news but unfortunately omitting the graphic details such as the 'victim' being arrested at 4am.

The drug link is a worrying development; this highlights how false accusations are sometimes perceived as a weapon

Well, I do agree that he's redeemed himself in my estimation since he ditched the plastic not-so-fantastic.

Sadly many of the false accusations come from young wannabes but what a hideous way to find fame.
I believe that she should have gotten the same sentence that could have been handed down to her victim.

Unfortunately the judges can only hand down a sentence for "perverting the course of justice" by making false allegations.

It would be good if the law was changed to reflect the seriousness of the crime committed but i fear that will happen not in my lifetime.......
