A TEENAGE mother who falsely cried rape against a youth after having sex with him in woodland has been locked up for 15 months. Jade Brooks, 19, claimed the 18-year-old had raped her in 2008 near a railway station in Haverhill, Suffolk. The youth was arrested, intimately examined and waited two months to hear no action would be taken.
Ipswich Crown Court heard how Brooks had emerged from the woods kissing the youth and had later performed a sex act on him. He said: “I didn’t rape her. She is just a liar.”
Brooks of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, was sentenced to 15 months in youth custody after being convicted of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Judge David Goodin described her false claim as “wicked”.
