The reason I have asked for a fresh thread is because potential arguments on here could hijack the intention of the OP.

Also, I am wary of anybody who merely posts a link without saying anything about it. I wonder if mods or Admin could tweak the settings to prevent a link being posted without words before or after it, explaining what it is.

Especially from Newbies....

I have emailed CH and hopefully he will sort it out and give it its own thread. We can then discuss both sides of the contents of the 2nd petition on there.

Fancy explaining that to my 5 year old daughter and her brother ? If your wrongly accused the truth is their ! You just need to find it ! And I'll make the presumption that the falsely accused minority is worth not having this right for my children not in place and that of the thousands of abused children yearly in this country !

Yes I am a newbie and I'm trying to make a change for reasons that my son was sexually abused by his stepmother 2 years ago and that she still has parental responsibility which she can act upon from prison! She will never have a normal relationship with her paternal daughter ever again. Not that is even contemplate it so for a 5 yr old this is the damage that can be caused by sex offenders .

I don't know what has happened in your family Jamesche, and if your family has suffered CSA then I am truly sorry that has happened.


People who are falsely accused and wrongly convicted, have very little chance of the truth emerging.

Even if/when it does, the stigma is always there because some people believe that there is no smoke without fire..

In many cases that are brought before the courts, there is no fire. Posting the petition here will not result in people wanting to sign it. All that will happen is that members who post here will feel very upset that you have not even bothered to post it in the relevant part of the forum.

The fact of the matter is, people DO lie about child sex abuse and often it is the mothers who force a child to make such allegations in order to prevent contact after an acrimonious divorce or separation.

This is not the place to that petition. As I said, I am sorry if something awful has happened to your family, with regards to children being abused. But starting an argument here by posting it, will not help you or the members here.

Hopefully CH will move the post to the relevant part of the forums. People who have never experienced false allegations or do not have a loved one who has suffered them, cannot understand the pain of them, especially if there is CSA within their own family.

Having said that, I know that some members on here who are supporting falsely accused loved ones, were sexually abused or have family members who were. Some of us can see both sides.

Unfortunately, due to where he chose to post the petition, I think he possibly wants to argue his view. I fear this could disintegrate into an argument which will cause bad feelings. Hopefully the post will become an OP in it's own thread, very soon.
