I replied to your thread before noticing this request.

We have recently decided that if threads may be helpful to others, particularly when members have taken the trouble to answer, we reserve the right to change any identifying details and leave them up.

However, I have deleted this thread as requested as I see no particular value and I would always prefer to carry out a members request as a matter of decency.

For the record, my reply is here:

Hello and welcome to Daftmoo Wits end,

First things first, you haven't done anything wrong. It's important for you to remember that.

I agree that you did the right thing in defending yourself - and it would seem that others have accepted and respected you for that and that you have acquitted yourself well.

I see no reason why you should lose your job on some chance that you might come across this person again or that they might bring things up, although I can see why you might worry from this person's history, you have dealt with this before and can do so again if necessary.

All sexual allegations are essentially an allegation of not being able to control yourself so it's important to remain calm and explain the situation and the facts. It might help to write everything down in a timeline so that you don't forget details.

I understand why you feel the way you do but from what you say here, you could be worrying about nothing and I would urge you to try and put this to the back of your mind.
