making an avatar

I've just joined and can see some people have avatars. I can't see how to do that. Can anyone help with that please? Thank you

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Click on the 'settings' tab at the top right of your screen. There is a menu on the left of the settings screen; about halfway down is 'edit avatar' (or it might be 'create avatar' or something like that as you haven't already got one)

Click on this and you will have the choice of uploading your picture (but note the maximum size)

Hmm, might be....try again after you have been registered for 10 days & have made five posts. If it still doesn't work then post up again on this thread and I'll have another look.
