This is a poem I wrote myself several years ago. I think the poem says it all about what I was going through at the time...
Love is a game,
Something to play,
Something that brings joy.
But love hurts,
it cannot be that.
Love is unity and friendship,
sharing time, feelings,
secrets and treasures.
But love hurts,
it cannot be that.
Love is truth.
A feeling of power,
that brings two people together.
But love hurts,
it cannot be that.
Love is what you want it to be,
You can build it,
You can control it.
But love hurts,
it cannot be that.
Love is a creature,
Alive and changing,
Never knowing what is coming.
Sleeping, partying,
In good moods and bad,
happy and sad.
Love brings joy,
Love brings grief,
Love brings hope,
Love brings longing.
That's what love is:
Undefinable.
Love is a game,
Something to play,
Something that brings joy.
But love hurts,
it cannot be that.
Love is unity and friendship,
sharing time, feelings,
secrets and treasures.
But love hurts,
it cannot be that.
Love is truth.
A feeling of power,
that brings two people together.
But love hurts,
it cannot be that.
Love is what you want it to be,
You can build it,
You can control it.
But love hurts,
it cannot be that.
Love is a creature,
Alive and changing,
Never knowing what is coming.
Sleeping, partying,
In good moods and bad,
happy and sad.
Love brings joy,
Love brings grief,
Love brings hope,
Love brings longing.
That's what love is:
Undefinable.
