Not sure if anyone will take this seriously or indeed take me seriously again.......
It's strange how music drifts into life and how certain songs remind you of certain things. It's often great to listen to stuff from long ago and bring all those memories back. Sometimes music just jumps in there with a piece of 'missingness' and changes the mood.
Well, Miss Diana Ross sneaked into my life back when things were raw. Thanks to her and The Supremes I made it through many a day.
When things were all over in a legal sense for me the following song popped onto the radio. I'd heard it that many times privately that I was strangely able to change some of the words!!!
Weird eh?
Well. I did. It was probably better at the time but it's hard to remember how I changed them all so I've had a stab at piecing it back together so that I could share it on here...

THE SUPREMES LYRICS
"Stop! In The Name Of Law"
Stop in the name of law
Before you break my mind
Copper copper, I'm aware of where you go
Each time you leave my cell
I watch you drive down the street
Knowing the next suspect you'll arrest
But this time before you run to court
Leaving me alone and hurt
(Think it over)
Haven't I been true to you?
(Think it over)
Haven't I been honest with you?
Stop in the name of law
Before you break my mind
Stop in the name of law
Before you break my mind
Think it over
Think it over
I've known of your, your secluded rights
I've even seen court, maybe one or twice
But is the sweet legislation
Worth more than my rights and life?
This time before you destroy my life
And rush off to court maybe twice
(Think it over)
Haven't I been true to you?
(Think it over)
Haven't I been honest with you?
Stop in the name of law
Before you break my mind
Stop in the name of law
Before you break my mind
Think it over
Think it over
I've tried so hard, hard to be innocent
Hoping you'll stop this prosecution
But each time you are paid
It's an insult because of the mistakes you've made
Stop in the name of law
Before you break my mind (Baby, think it over)
Stop in the name of law (Think it over, baby)
Before you break my mind (Ooh, think it over, baby)
Stop in the name of law
Before you break my mind
Stop in the name of law
Before you break my mind
