  • Not Guilty

    Hello

I was arrested in 2013 and after 2 years I was charged and after another 15 months it was finally over it was 1200 days in total. There are not a lot of sites that assist people this is one of them but you need to help yourself especially if you are innocent. I know precisely what you are going through with the false accusations.

Please note no matter how weak the evidence is you will have to go to court so please prepare for yourself. Even if you have disclosures or materials that you have and have provided them to external organisations they do not care they will take you to court.

I was found not guilty on all 6 charges by 3 complaints however you may ask how did I survive for 3 years.
    (1) I had a partner and family behind me.
    (2) I informed my employers when I was arrested and charged and they helped me ......please carry on with the work that you have.
    (3) I went to the gym on a daily which helped me mentally and physically

After it's finally over you will be happy that it's over and disappointed with the justice system as ordinary innocent people have to suffer as a result of police failings in the past.

    Regards

    Tony

Thank you Peter. This site has helped me so much it just shows that there are plenty of people in the same situation as you......Also it assists you with the process of it all..... Phil and Jo thank you so much for creating this wonderful place, although I never posted before it helped me just by looking at the site......

You can get through all this but as stated before please help yourself mentally and physically I was given medication but I preferred the Gym every single day without failure and when I was in court I was prepared I also prayed a lot and that helped me a lot. Please don't spend hours and hours online

      Regards

        That's good advice Tony,

Daftmoo and PAFAA certainly helped me a lot and I didn't post at the time either. I always promised to come back and contribute to the groups and it is only now I find myself spending too much unhealthy time online.

As you say, maintaining a sense of normality is vital to keeping a straight head and giving yourself the best chance of winning your case.

Daftmoo will always be here when you need it.

I had to get the bananas in first as I did not you waiting any longer, such a long time for you and your family too is pretty disgusting it took that time , just hooe that your FA is taken to task for all your stress and loss of time . So pleased to hear that you can now move on and rebuild your lives.

                      Thank You

                      Hi

Just been out shopping on this sunny ☀️ day for a 🚗 ......Yes they did take a long time to have a charging decision and at one stage after a year I was no longer on bail ......but that did not mean it was over they simply may have done it to weaken me mentally but I just kept going to the gym, went on holidays and did my normal activity.

When the charging decision came I was a little upset at my solicitor for not chasing the Investigating officer for a decision. I then decided to change the firm that was representing me. I then drew up a few Barristers who were experts in this field I then contacted the chambers to see if they ever worked with any local solicitors. Please note there are brilliant barristers out there choosing one is extremely imperative.

Also I remember Rights Fighter saying on this forum that be careful out there not all solicitors are experts in this field they just want your hard earned money.

Thanks Tony. That's great to know that even though it was slow the justice system finally worked and tosee how you got through it. It has only been two days for me and I am a wreck. I have always had insomnia but this has made it worse and I haven't had much of an appetite but given my history of anorexia I have been trying to force myself to eat anyway.
