Hi and welcome to the forum,

I'm assuming you are the same 'Elsie' who has previously posted so I hope you won't mind me linking to that post as it will help members to understand your situation (it would probably be best to use that thread for any responses)

I have been on this forum before but I haven't made any comments or statements. My husband was wronglyconvictedhsa 2 years ago. I am still trying to get an appeal. i am thinking of using a private detective to see if I can get some new evidence. Not done that yet though. I wrote an open letter to the prime minister earlier in the year, then I sent it to Inside times who published it. many many others in same position as me made comments and apparently it has "made waves " in the legal industry. Matthew Scott, Barristerblog quoted from my letter, which he called "a very powerful article" in his blog about David Bryant , the fireman who has won his appeal and has been released from prison. He was convicted of HSA and had been in prison for 3 years until his wife and legal team managed to find new evidence that the appeal court accepted. Also Sir Henry Brooke, a retired appeal judge has used my story in his blog 15.7.2016 " 7 stories of injustice ". So it does seem that the people with influence are listening.

I read your article through the link on the PAFAA forum, very well written and you made excellent points about how the justice system fails the FA.

It would be good if you could put the links up on the forum for members of this forum to read (but preferably on your other thread as the introduction section isn't really for discussions)

Separated out your post so it is easier to read.

I have been in touch with Sir Henry this morning and at his request have sent him my grounds and arguments which went to the CCRC recently. Hopefully he can add to them.
