Time for police to investigate.

I have been on bail for a very long period of time now, nearly a year. It is another custody case motivated allegation, which the police are well aware of.

I have been informed that the file has not yet been passed to the CPS yet, although it is expected to be. I was told months ago that the file was ready to send but still the file is sitting on someone's desk within the police.

I was wondering, what kind of time you folks have been on bail for and whether the biggest delay was with the police or the CPS.

ZZzzzz I find it ridiculous that such a simple case, i.e. she said/he said could take so long to investigate. After all its hardly a murder investigation in most of these cases.

One of our members has been waiting 20 months. She wasn't arrested or bailed but the agony of waiting is the same. Some people are dealt with quicker than others. There is no set time limit ........
